Oculus Rift and Pioneer Space Sim progress

Yes progress, real progress!

That there is a video of the Intro menu being rendered onto a quad, and the 2nd video is of the ingame GUI/HUD being rendered onto a Quad.

The things that I DON’T show are the messed up sector/system view screens, or the projected city/planet/object names which go all over the place and the Quad isn’t centred because I’ve just been hacking in it’s position without a care in the world :)

I should have been in bed about an hour ago, g’night!

  1. It might be time to move virtual reality out of that ‘cool things that never came to fruition’ box. The Oculus Rift is coming to town, and it’s bringing with it not only a revolutionary approach to gaming, but applications that stretch into education and e-training.

  2. Yep, I have the final Rift now too.

It will need rewriting from scratch as the API completely changed in the 2 years since the experiments above.

Also I never solved the other problems with the screens so all of it will need revisiting.
